How to wisely chose your shampoo

Choosing a good shampoo is quite important for your hair health.  The industry is delivering to this need by offering a huge range of products that can make you confused as what to buy. Normally we would buy a shampoo by

1.     the hair type we have- dry, fate etc.
2.      the issues we need to address -   have more volume, more glance, stop dandruff, let it grow quicker etc.

This way of choosing shampoos proved to be a very bad start for the simple reason it does not address the core reason behind your hair problems.  For example the shampoos for fat hair do not address the problem you are addressing .In most cases  the industry makes sure to put substances in the shampoo that will keep your hiar staying greasy and fatty. Hence you will be buying more of their  products and start washing your hair more often etc.
The volume making shampoos will interfere with you your hair structure and make the condition of your hair even worse.
You need to be an industry insider to know which companies to trust and which to avoid. Almost impossible in the ocean of products and  promises they give.
Having  some knowledge about how the shampoos are produced and the dangers of the industry marketing you can have a  guidance to make informed decisions.

Mrs. Stankevich  explains that  the most important part of a shampoo is its base. The better the base the better  the shampoo.   The base is the ingredient that get in closest contact with you hair.  Developing a good base is a very expensive process as it requires huge investments in R&D. Most companies cannot afford these costs and will buy ready-made base developed by somebody else and add some own additives and sell it under own brand name. Vey often such companies will buy cheap base with cheap ingredients and  advertise some magic oil of vitamin on the front label to make it attractive to you. Then they will put all this a good looking package and here you go  buying the next promise and getting the next disappointment. You must be a chemist specialized in shampoo bases to be able to figure out which base it of good quality.

Below are some  are some simple rules to guide you in your choice:
1.     The ingredients
The ingredients in the first 2-3 rows are ones in biggest quantity and  have an impact on your hair. At the end of the ingredient list are the ones of which you have very minimal quantities or even just trace of the ingredient. So look carefully for those fancy oils – are they really making essential part of what you  pay for in a shampoo?
2.     The smell
Good quality shampoos have, as Mrs. Stankevich puts it, a “noble “ smell. There are more base ingredients and they can better contain the perfume smell. The cheap shampoos smell cheap.

3.  The packaging
Mrs. Stankevich stresses the conditions of  the places the shampoos are stored. In our bathrooms it is normally warm and humid, A perfect environment for bacteria. It is therefore advisable to look for a good package that protects the shampoo from the environmental influences.

4.     Organic myth
Not every organic is the same and not all organic is healthy. Very often a good quality chemical formulation is  more beneficial to our hair than the fancy organic label. The organic products are quite new and miss the long proven  results based on testing the products on consumers. Also an organic formulation can be more dangerous than a good chemical one and , as a rule, is more unstable than the non-organic one.

The best companies in the hair care filed will usually combine best of both practices. But   it is not easy at all to know who they are. When it comes to hair care products I feel privileged  to be an owner of a special course  giving you best industry insider information on the products to use. As a private client I am using at the moment a shampoo that suits best my hair and its needs at the moment. The shampoo and the other products have beedn chosen for me personally by Mrs. Stankevich.  I have also  learned how to know which products is bes for me- a technique revealed in the first intensive workshop Ekaterina Stankevich organized.

Yet again- the external product may help you in gaining better hair but the real secret lies in the work dedicated to restore the main function of your hair- being an information channel for your brain.

Following these guidelines you have a better chance of  at least avoiding  damaging shampoos and hopefully  stumble upon one that is good for you.
I have taken the easier route- I let the business insider to advise me on the best products for my hair. The results have paid off  in both efforts and investments.

I see the difference how a good suitable for me product can help and change for better  my hair.

Best hair care wished!
Irina

Why the cosmetic industry is not caring about your hair?

Why the cosmetic  industry is not caring about your hair?

In preparation to start the personalized hair care with Mrs. Ekaterina Stankevihc (ES) (just need to collect the financials for her services – very affordable for the Western world!)- I have attended 2 of her free workshops. Her workshops are full of great content and information you can hardly find anywhere. One of the most insightful  information for me was the truth about the cosmetic industry in the hiar care sector. Mrs. Stankevish herself is a chemist and a former employee of a big cosmetic firm so she knows what she is talking about. In her years of  working  with private clients  she noticed  the  upcoming trend of  people's hair becoming more and more greasy. The  more you wash your hair the more greasy/fat it becomes. And you blame  your self  and search for fat hair  products that  do now work.

The reason behind this phenomenon is very simple. The hair care  sector is the most profitable segment in the cosmetic industry, hence they want you to buy as often as possible their products-  mainly shampoos. For this purpose the industry deliberately adds substances to influence the fat producing glands on your scull thus making your hair fat  resulting in your washing your hair almost daily. This is not known to the general public- we are not cosmetic industry insiders!- and we get trapped in the circle of washing hair- seeing it becoming fat- washing it more- becoming even more fat.

Not all  companies are the same of course. There are companies who care for their clients and do produce  good hair products. You just have to know who they are. In her free webinars Mrs. Stankevich does not give names of ‘good ‘ companies as each person is different and giving a general advise may have adverse effect. And most importantly- Mrs. Stankevich is regularly approached by hair care rpoducers to endorse their products this being the reason to not endorse any product at a free webinar. She gives some general advises which I now follow, in her course on Udemy. It costs only EUR12  but the information in it is worth millions! I can see the difference the products I use make to my hair.

If you want to purchase her course at Udemy you can use the link below:

The course is in Russian so you would need a translator if you do not understand the language.

Journey starts- losing hair to get it back

My journey to glance hair begins by losing  most of it

In 2015-2016 I started to lose hair as a reaction to a chain of stressful events in my life. Never in my life has my hair looked so bad . I was afraid I am going to lose it all. It was terrible to see the floors of my  temporarily apartment in Switzerland ( near to a beautiful hill and with lot of fresh air around, and later in my own house in Netherlands to be ' dusted' by my hair. I felt ashamed and horrified.  Ashamed that I could not manage the stress and  horrified I am going to lose my hair. because of this.

At the time of this writing (2015-2016)I am 56 years old/young and looking pretty good for my age. I have managed to lose around 15 kg of extra weight and went back to my natural skinny body. That fact made me feel great and proud of thins achievement. I did well at work,  enjoyed my family and yet I could not manage the stress  of different events following each other within a short period of time.My hair just started to recover after the first stressful  event and was hit badly when the next one occurred. I realize this time my body reacts to stress in this way and was grateful it was not worse (I was faced with cancer in 2004 and the great contributor for this was, in my opinion, the stress and lack enough of love and care for myself).

During this period I started to think about  the role of the hair in our lives. During my young years I had a long and curly hair, falling freely down my shoulders. Around my 16th I have cut it to shoulder length and  later let it grow again. I could easily grow it when I was young. And I never had serious problems with my hair- my body reacted to stress by other means. My hair is naturally curly and thin and when it was long, my friends would compare me to a puddle dog or to an African girl. My nickname in my teenage year was "Jessy the little banana" exactly because my curly hair was floating around me light as a feather and I looked very exotic to my friends.

When I lost my  hair due to chemotherapy I realized how wonderful it is have hair. The wig would cover the loss and make up for a good look but boy was my head  cold! This moment made me realize that our hair is more than just a cosmetic tool but a valuable organ in our total body system.

It happened so that after the cancer treatment I came across an energy healer, a remarkable woman from my native country who spent great amount of time haling me with energy. This experience turned upside down my upbringing in materialism ( I am born in an ex- communist country and all stuff religious or spiritual was forbidden).  Although I had a strong interest and believe in natural treatment the energy healing opened a whole new word for me. Not only did it produced  miracles in healing and well being, but it made me realize by direct experience there is more between the Earth and the Space. There was a healing power I could only feel, but not sense with our common senses, and this power was healing and loving and delivered results far beyond the whole modern medicine could not. I was faced with the choice to either accept my experience and the healing results, no mater how contradictory to my upbringing, or pretend it did not exists. I chose to accept the truth in front of my eyes and went on a journey to be able to communicate and work with this loving healing power.

In the years that followed I became a Zhi Neng Qi Gong instructor, Reiki practitioner,  followed Akashik records  course and started to receive messages from higher realms. I came across the beautiful healing modality Belvaspata, channeled for the humanity by another great woman, Almine and am now in preparation for Master and Grand Master Level. I lost 15 kg of extra weight under the virtual guidance of another wonderful woman (it seems to me that all my Teachers in this period are  women ) and lost my weight whilst gaining  in the looks . This woman is from Russia, a professor in biology and an energy healer.

When I was faced with the loss of my hair I sought answers in the teachings I followed and practiced some masks and ways of washing and caring for hair from the past. I started to work to reduce the stress and achieved some results in stopping losing my hair. Yet the way it looked did not satisfied me. And I knew the hair has a lot to do with the energy system of the body and there too should be the answer to a holistic treatment I was was so badly  looking for. And as often as it happens in my life- the answer came in an invitation to a free webinar on the hair care. I signed up immediately and was deeply impressed by the knowledge of the organizer of the seminar- a beautiful long haired lady from (again)  Russia. Not only was she very professional explaining the jungle of the different products and what to use or not but she  was also  teaching us  about the energy roots of our hair and how important it is to care for them in the first place. With my background in the energy healing I was  bought and purchased her general  hair  care course and  signed up for a professional personalized coaching to a long, healthy and glancing hair.

My journey is yet to begin and I am looking forward to be walking it all the way.
